Privacy Policy

Version 2. This is the privacy policy for altamiracommerce.com, operated by Victor Campos, an independent contractor trading as Altamira Commerce, at Cipreses #22, Fracc. Cipreses de Mayorazgo, 72480 Puebla, Puebla, México.

If you are in Mexico, the notice written for Mexican data protection law is the Aviso de Privacidad (Mexico), and the Spanish original is at Aviso de privacidad. The Spanish version governs in Mexico.

What this site collects

Almost nothing. There is no form on this site, no account to create, no newsletter sign-up and no shopping cart. We set no cookies of our own, and we run no advertising pixels, no web beacons and no third-party analytics service.

We do count page views. For each page requested, the measurement records the address of the page, the address of the page that linked to it, the country the request came from, and the general type of browser and device. It sets no cookie. So that a repeat visit on the same day is not counted twice, it derives a temporary identifier from the request itself; that identifier is discarded at the end of the day and cannot be traced back to a person. It cannot follow you to any other site and it builds no profile of you.

The measurement runs first-party: it is served from altamiracommerce.com by our host, Vercel, who processes it on our behalf. No advertising network and no analytics company receives it. We use it for one thing, which is to see which pages are read and whether a link we sent was opened.

Any ordinary tracker-blocking extension or browser setting stops it, and the pages read the same either way.

If we ever add anything beyond this, this policy is updated before it goes live.

Typefaces loaded from Google

The pages load their typefaces from Google's font servers, fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com. Your browser requests those files directly from Google, so Google receives your IP address and the ordinary information a browser sends with a request, such as the page that asked for the font and your browser and operating system. That exchange is between your browser and Google; we receive nothing from it and cannot see it. Google's handling of that data is governed by Google's own privacy policy. If you would rather not make that request, a browser extension or setting that blocks third-party font loading will stop it; the pages remain readable in a fallback typeface.

What we receive when you email us

The only personal data we hold is what you choose to send to hello@altamiracommerce.com. That is typically:

  • your name, or whatever name you sign with;
  • your email address, and any other contact details you include;
  • the URL of your store or of a specific page;
  • anything else you write in the message, and any attachment you send.

We do not ask for and do not want payment card numbers, government identification numbers, health information, or store admin passwords. If you send us store access, send it as a collaborator or staff invitation you can revoke, not as a password.

Why we use it

  • To read your message and reply to it.
  • To look at the page or store you asked us about, and to quote the work.
  • If we work together, to carry out the engagement, to invoice it, and to keep the records a business has to keep.

We do not use it for anything else. We do not build a marketing list from it, we do not send bulk mail to people who have written to us, and we do not sell, rent or trade it.

How long we keep it

For as long as we need it to answer you and, if we work together, for the engagement and for legal and accounting record-keeping afterwards. If you ask us to delete your message and we are not required to keep it, we delete it.

Who else sees it

Nobody outside Altamira Commerce, with one exception: the email provider that receives and stores mail sent to our address, Zoho Mail, necessarily processes it in order to deliver it to us. We use no other processor for the contents of your message. We share personal data with anyone else only where the law requires it or where you ask us to.

Your rights

You can ask us what personal data of yours we hold, ask us to correct it, and ask us to delete it. Write to hello@altamiracommerce.com from the address you contacted us on, or tell us which address to look under. We acknowledge rights requests within one business day and answer them within the time the applicable law allows.

People in Mexico have the ARCO rights — access, rectification, cancellation and opposition — and the procedure for exercising them is set out in the Aviso de Privacidad (Mexico).

Children

This site is a business-to-business site for people who run retail stores. It is not directed to anyone under eighteen and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under eighteen.

Changes to this policy

Changes to this policy are published on this page, at this same address. There is no separate notification; the page you are reading is always the current version.
